warped tour~ [13 Aug 2004|08:49pm]

[ mood | bored ]

I said I'd post about my Warped Tour expierience, so I will.

Uh...I went the 24th of July, along with the other admin, nookicky, to the Tweeter Center in Tinley Park, IL. (Near to Chicago.) It was a schweet show I must say. The only Kung-Fu Band that played however was the Vandals, but they played an awesome set and if I ever get unlazy, I'll scan the pictures I took of them. I remember they played "My Girlfriend's Dead" and "I've got an Ape Drape", as for everything else I'm kind of stupid and have forgotten.

The Alkaline Trio also played, a favorite in their hometown. It was their last show of the tour but man did they play an amazing set. Umm...if I remember right, they played "Maybe I'll Catch Fire", "This Could Be Love", "We've Had Enough", "Mr. Chainsaw" and I can't remember...I want to say "Hell Yes" but I'm not positive.

Taking Back Sunday was there, I was able to meet Adam and Fred but I couldn't see their show. I also attended the Yellowcard concert (they played Breathing, Life of a Salesman, Only One, Way Away, Ocean Avenue...) and the ultra-awesome Sugarcult concert. (their set was Memory, Pretty Girl (The Way), She's The Blade, Crying, Bouncing off the Walls...)

All in all, if you still have time and live in the area check out the Vans Warped Tour, it's an amazing time and not that expensive at all to attend.

ALSO the Vandals have just released a new CD, called "Hollywood Potato Chip" me thinks. Does anyone here have it?

And Tsunami Bomb are releasing a new CD this September, called "The Definitive Act". Who else is waiting eagerly for it? ;D

Tickets [07 Jul 2004|01:03am]

[ mood | curious ]

I have two tickets for Tsunami Bomb's record release show on July 16th at 7:30 PM in Hollywood at the Troubador.

Unfortunately, I can no longer attend this event and I am looking to sell them.

I payed $18.00 for each ticket (Including Ticketmaster service charges) and I am asking no more than face value for the tickets.

Because this is short notice and so close to the date, if you live in or near the Hollywood or Los Angeles area and are interested in buying any, I may be able to deliver the tickets to you in person.

If anyone is interested, please email me at IdolessAgent@hotmail.com or just comment in this post. Thanks a lot.

[ mood | accomplished ]

This isn't directly related to Kung Fu Records, but...The Ataris will be on it, along with many other great bands.

Check it out at Mtv.com.

The name of the song the Ataris are puting on the album is called "The Night the Lights Went Out In NYC".

You can go here to hear snips of all the songs on the album.

So I joined a long time ago and never really posted. So things to say about kung fu records. Well I met Joe Escalante A few months back in Novemeber at The Ataris show at the paladium in L.A. Well my point is the whole reason Joe talked to me was because I was wearing the Kung fu record sweater and he noticed it and told me " nice sweater" and my reply was "well it is your company" and that began a 15- 20 minute conversation that consisted of alot of topics. Well also my favorite bands on kung fu are really all except for the god awfuls. I dont really like them. But my favorites are The Vandals, The Ataris, Audio Karate, and Ozma. Ohh and Anti-freeze. well thats really all.

Hi! I stumbled upon this nifty community while looking through ones for Tsunami Bomb and here I am! I first found them by looking for covers of Rocky Horror Picture Show songs, but I guess the first song of theirs I heard was Lemonade... I've listened to other bands on Kung-Fu Records and like them, but Tsunami Bomb is my favorite :D. Ummm...yeah!

Yay! I joined. I found this pretty, little community on Nicole's journal and decided to join, mostly for the sake of Nicole and Lisa, but I do know what Kung Fu Records is, so don't think otherwise and flame my ass. ._.

So, um, hi. :D
